IBM iSeries Notification plugin (ODBC) leverages IBM iSeries and its ability to send emails through an external SMTP server. It allows you to simplify the deployment by using your existing iSeries machine as an email gateway. It is intended for our customers who do not own IBM DB2 Connector Core license for i or Z. Whenever you use iSeries Persistency plugin (ODBC) in a secure, firewalled environment, consider using this notification plugin as well.
